Salzburg is one of the smaller towns in Austria but it is one of the most important for the tourism industry. Thousands of visitors from across the wold visit the “Little paradise” of Salzburg throughout the year. Pristine nature with attractions such as the Hole Tauern National Park, the beauty of the ”Baroque Jewel” of the Historic centre of Salzburg and the surrounding communities are some of its fabulous attractions. Very successful efforts have been made to preserve the enchanting nature of Salzburg. The town is popular as both a winter and summer holiday destination.
Day1: Italy-Graz
afternoon arrival in Graz hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day2: Graz – Vienna (205 km)
Breakfast. Morning guided tour of Graz, the green capital of Styria, cathedral, Mausoleum, Landhaus, Castle.
Dinner and overnight stay in Vienna.
Day3: Vienna
Breakfast. Full day visit to the Austrian capital : cathedral, Town Hall, Hofburg, Parliament, Opera.
Afternoon at the Schönbrunn Palace (inside). Dinner in the picturesque district of Grinzing. Overnight stay.
Day4: Vienna – Vienna Woods – Melk – Linz (220 km)
Breakfast. Departure for the Vienna Woods and guided tour with stops at the Abbey of the Holy Cross, Mayerling and Baden. Continue to Melk and guided tour of the Benedictine abbey. Then a walk along the shores of one of the most romantic lakes in the Salzkammergut (Traunsee, Wolfgangsee, Mondsee).
Dinner and overnight stay in Linz.
Day5: Linz-Mauthausen- Salzburg (160 km)
Breakfast. Guided tour of Linz, built by the Romans (Who called it Lentia) on the Danube to defend is borders: Castle, Landhaus, Old Cathedral, Town Hall. Afternoon guided vicit to the Mauthausen concentration camp.
Dinner and overnight stay in Salzburg.
Day6: Salzburg-Kufstein – Innsbruck (170 km)
Breakfast.Guided tour of Salzburg: cathedral,the residence of the Prince-Bishops, Mozart’s birthplace in Getreidegasse 9, Festspielhaus, Hohensalzburg Fortress, Mirabell Palace.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Day7: Salzburg – Kufstein Innsbruck (170 km)
Breakfast and departure for Kufstein, situated on the banks of the River Inn and overlooked by the imposing Fortress, guided tour. Continue on to Innsbruck, the Tyrolean capital, and guided tour: cathedral, castle ( Chiurch with the tomb of Maximilian I) Golden Roof. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day8: Innsbruck – Italy
Breakfast and return.
